When your voice is like rain

The sky is a single brushstroke
of aquamarine
Though many voices speak

Yours is like amber

Yours is like saffron
yellowing my tongue of spice

Even above glass floor

the wind sweeping the leaves in
tiny islands

Yours is like violin

Yours is like bow
piercing
clouds
streak of fire,
veins careening open
pupils dilating in rushing tide

catching me

in autumn's early shroud
How can I forget your voice?
You ripple all my memories
like whispering birds with nowhere to hide
you
who fly with them

you
who always come back with bluest of plums

Many voices speak.*
Through them all
I hear only yours
falling as a night rain.

  2. To hear one person's voice through all, especially a voice which is as musical as a violin, must certainly be a wonderful experience. Happy Sunday, Grace.

  3. You 're bringing the colors, the sense of wind/leaves so close, Grace! 'Yours is like bow
    piercing
    clouds
    streak of fire,
    veins careening open
pupils dilating in rushing tide' ~ veins careeening open - such revelation for me... xx

  21. Even computer chips can recognize a voice. Nicely done, Grace, so much more on a personal level than cold computer stuff. You make me wish I'd have written of the rain.

Thank you for encouraging words sent our way. To me this is terrible, Mrs. Jim is taking it like a wounded soldier would. The reason I love her is because she is the way she is.
