Favors

smoke bellowing

against opaque skies,
man pleads heavenly 

favors from God

offering sweet fruits

spoils from the earth

beseeching blessings

wrapped

for his delectation, 


chanting until 
hoarse voice, 
silence stared
and yawned  


blindly, 
he boards train, 
uncaring of
destination.
