Calling the bees & rain

sting & ravish
lilac petals like furious bee

blue the grey sky, honey the chilling air
spring buzzes in your mind

rain,
you wake
me up
spilling thick
strokes of liquid
on my face-
i lean forward
full of want-

  2. Oh yes, even though the air is grey and the air remains chilled, I love the idea of spring buzzing in one's mind. It definitely cannot come too soon!

  4. These micro-jewels rock the prompt, and the images are stunning; like the second one a lot, the lines /I lean forward/full of want/ like Spring, you teaser, you give me fever. Nice job in few words.

  9. Yes! The first exactly captures the anticipation of springtime! The second is both sensuous and sensual - and the image deepens the text! Fine poems, Grace.

  11. Lovely words and photos! After a very rainy winter in my part of the world, I cannot say I would welcome the rain on my face but I know that during very hot summers I do!

  12. There's passion in both of these ... bees are passionate about bringing about spring and I love the way you describe the want of rain :) Really good poems!

  32. These are both wonderful, but that first one really has me longing for bees and flowers. Lovely.

  33. Once the flowers arrive, I will be like one bee deprived of nectar for so long, just as you described.

Your rain poem reminded me of raindrops on a summer day - just utterly blissful. :-)

Ah, bummer about that snow storm recently. Winter just doesn't seem to want to go away.
