Ha. Lips on fire is not bad,as long as they are not sun burnt.Smoking hot out there todaylovely color of moon you chose too.
I love the smell of a haiku in the morning; it smells like violet verses & truncated stanzas. Have been playing rough with the haiku gang since Haibun has become my go-to form; done my own way, of course.
GB, you crack me up. The smell of haiku - ha. I need to write about that.
Beautifully penned Grace--delicate and strong. >KB
beautiful haiku. sensual and the ginger moon is a wow.
Love the "ginger shadowed moon"! such great imagery. The leaping of the frogs brings great movement to the poem. Thanks for sharing!
You've captured hot summer nights of love quite nicely. Peace, Linda
ah that lips on fire - nice heat in the heat - and i like the ginger moon...
So is the "you" the reader? And can we really never know the poet then?
This is my other persona, one that likes playing with words, thanks ~
This is everything! Ginger shadowed moon = ace!
Very sensual summer imagery!
What an extraordinary haiku :D
Lips on fire are fine, with the right other set of lips locked to them lol
Oh I love the ginger shadowed moon Grace....
Now I want some sushi.
i'm just hungry for cookies now
The "ginger-shadowed moon" sets this haiku ablaze 🔥
Ginger shadowed moon was a killer! :)~Prajakta
Not just the lips are on fire in this heat - but it's the ginger-shadowed moon that I enjoyed most!
A picture painted with words. Nicely done.
oooo could feel the heat..s w e e t :)
I like the ginger-moon image as it suggests taste, color and smell. A very sensual and strong haiku.
Perhaps you know how partial I am to poetic brevity, whether it's Three Lines, Haiku, or Free Verse-- This is strikingly sensual. Just lovely!
You have a way of making words come alive, Grace. This is beautiful.
I love the unexpected 'frog leaps' instead of 'leap frogs'--adds a twist to the words that causes the reader to sit up and pay closer attention. Very effective.
Gorgeous, as always. Just reading this blog is a sensual experience!
I can see you've had summer on your mind for a while now ~
Well, whoever "you" is needs to put that fire out... :-)
Thanks for your visit and comments ~ I appreciate them ~
