Drunk with colors

color me summer

lips

to cheeks

amber-stained

arm

to fingers

 green tea-sipped, sugar-licked

sky dazzles

drunken blue

we gaze, without words

as colors drink

our skin

craving for sun's fever

& when you kiss me

rain-dust drenched

i turn

softer than tulips

nibbled-pink

neck

to

toes

  1. Oh, the colors of summer are indeed beautiful. I am SO ready for them to appear.

    I especially like:

    we gaze, without words
    as colors drink
    our skin

    Enjoyed the illustration too!

  9. A celebration of sun-drenched flesh-warming showers of warm color, so very sensual, so much longing; nicely done, Grace. I found my bad poetic self at a Farmer's Market for my palette foray.

  17. Unlike snows in the West we have bright sunshine, too bright and hot this time. We miss the rain and there was even water rationing in some places. Like the snap of coloring the body in paints. Nicely Grace!

  18. Ah! Color drinks you as you drink it in and turn into its senses--summer and tips and petals. May you have it all, may you all find it as intoxicating as it sounds.
