The mellow sounds

1992 - Sade

She sings blue

    diamonds, cold as ice

Saxophone croons low/slow

    swaying, undulating silk

Fingers snapping to

    rhythm of raindrops falling

I turn wet

    percussions to crackle/sparkle

My blood turns red/violet sky

as I recall your hot burning kisses

I'm melting, I'm sliding down/ground

    as she sings blue

diamonds, cold as ice

  10. OOOOOooooooooh I LOVE Sade! She was one of those early finds when you think you are the first one to ever hear it. She was transformative. Kids who never listened to jazz would ask to sit in our car and listen to her. I remember when that happened to me with Kenny Burrell and she had the same effect on our children's friends and our friends as well. Lovely tribute to her and her GREAT songs! I loved it MUCH.
